Intimate backyard fall wedding

In October of 2020, during the height of Covid lockdown, this lovely couple decided to downsize and hold an intimate wedding in the bride's family's beautiful backyard. We focused our floral work on the ceremony backdrop, creating a large, boho-style arch installation on a wooden structure built by the groom. The bride's bouquet was more delicate and more flower-heavy, and finished with silk ribbon streamers from Hey It's So Pretty textiles. And finally, the groom's boutonniere was fashioned from a super cute heritage chrysanthemum. To create these seasonal floral designs, we chose local materials and flowers such as dried grasses, english ivy, forsythia, privet and nandina foliage and berries from our property, sustainably-farmed local cosmos, dahlias, zinnias, amaranth, silver drop eucalyptus, lisianthus and celosia from Belvedere Farm Flowers and some local wild-foraged materials. We added some imported roses, hanging pepperberry and amaranthus, carnations, and plumosa.
